Where two or three gather in My Name...

Worship is at the heart of our life together at First UMC. We come together each week to praise and thank our Almighty God for who He is, and not just for what He has done for us. Praise the Lord!

Believing prayer is also at the center of our worship. Nothing is impossible with God. Continue to be in prayer for our nation. "Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, behold the eye of the Lord is upon them that fear Him, upon them that hope in his mercy." (Psalm 33:12, 18) More than ever we need to lift our nation in prayer to God.

Since singing makes the heart glad, we love to sing God's praises. Our services are filled with music. Scripture repeatedly urges us sing a new song to the Lord, all you that love the Lord.

Finally, fellowship with one another in our worship and work for the Lord strengthens us as we face the world every day with its problems, pressures and uncertainty. Scripture also advises us "NOT to neglect gathering together as is the habit of some."

Join us as we seek to grow in Christ's name to make a difference in our community and in our world. "Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you." (Matthew 7:7)

"For I am confident of this very thing,

that He who began a good work in you

will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus."

(Phillipians 1:6)
